The T&P Cell of the institute is committed to support the endeavor of the students in achieving their aspirations of a successful career in the diverse sectors of industries. As the challenge for the students is to prepare themselves in every respect of industry requirements, the institute makes available the valued opportunities with reputed corporate organizations from the diverse sectors.
The campus hiring by the industry from Core Engineering and software/IT sector is the mainstay of the campus recruitment process. To sustain the momentum in the campus recruitment, the institute has established strong associations with many of the reputed and fastest growing organizations. It is for the graduating students of the institute to develop their capabilities and skills to align with the industry requirements.
The fresher’s graduating from our institute has a real opportunity to make a dignified entry in the corporate sector. The skill-set demanded by the industry is dynamic and has changed rapidly since the ‘Industry 4.0’ which is the current phase of development requiring specific skills from the engineers. The emphasis on AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Deep & Parallel Programming etc has resulted in the fresher’s aspiring to make their career with the new age industries particularly from Software/IT sector, to acquire and possess them.
Apart from these special skills, a student appearing for the campus recruitment process is required to clear the various stages of screening which are mostly elimination rounds:
1. Written Test (Online / Offline mode) to test their analytical, problem solving skills and communication abilities. These objective type tests have sectional cut-off and mainly contain sections of quantitative and numerical aptitude, logical reasoning, data interpretation and verbal ability/reading comprehension. To clear the test, the students need to focus on practicing variety of problems from the above listed sections right from their first year. These tests sometimes may have negative marking and judge the ability of the students to quickly analyze a problem.
2. Group Discussion is included to verify the communication, reasoning, team work capabilities and logical thinking process which a professional must process to foster leadership qualities.
3. Technical and HR interviews are usually the final stage of selection process. The face to face interviews test the domain knowledge of the candidate, their level of confidence, ability to express their thoughts in the most effective manner, a strong and consistent thought process etc.
