the Institute:
Government College of
Engineering Yavatmal was established by Government of Maharashtra in 2018 through
upgradation of old Government Polytechnic with an objective of providing
Technical education to the students from rural and educationally backward area.
The institute is located in the educational area of the city and is spread over
the lush green campus of 40.19 acres.
The institute offers
undergraduate engineering education (B.Tech.) in five disciplines Civil,
Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication and Computer
Engineering with an intake of 60 each. The total numbers of students studying in
the institute are more than 1300. The institute is affiliated to the Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere Dist. Raigad. The students
admitted in the institute are meritorious and most of the students are from
rural areas of Yavatmal and neighbouring districts. Being Government, the
institute is charging least fees to students as compared to other engineering institutes
in the district.
